You would not believe this...

There are two computers in my household: the "Master," my brother's computer which, much like Jason's Ship, no longer has any of its original parts, and "Igor," which happens to be a somewhat misshapen computer which still does quite the trick and is by all means a cute little beast unto itself. It's greatest boon and bane, though, has always been its 19" CRT screen.

You see, for any of us who've worked with colour, there's nothing like a lightly lit little room and a good CRT screen to work with; the problems, though, start when you know almost nothing about the screen you have, which was the case with me, as I got it second hand from a friend who passed it off to me for free but had not take care to retain the manuals and what have you - and, since the info on the screen have by all means almost gone to the wind, it was impossible for me to divine what sort of display it was that I was dealing with, until yesterday...

Believe it or not, I was tampering with my video adapter's control panel settings as I checked up on the multiple screen settings out of curiosity and saw this:

Frankly, I am stunned that the OS knows nothing of it, but this control panel does.
